On August 3, 2023, the Field Day "Potatoes in Chernihiv region" was held on the fields of the well-known farm STOV "Desna". Potato growers of Chernihiv region had the opportunity to appreciate this year's results with Solana varieties, potato protection schemes from BASF and nutrition schemes from Yara .
Since Chernihiv region is the potato’s Donbas of Ukraine, potatoes have always been grown and will be grown here because the weather and climate conditions of this region are the most favourable for the production of our second bread. As well, this year Solana varieties demonstrated and revealed their unique qualities in a new way. Granada, Queen Anne, Prada, and Lilly varieties look especially powerful.
Our partners from BASF Ukraine reported to visitors the peculiarities of potato treatment with protectant fungicide Sercadis against Rhizoctonia, about the fungicide Signum against Alternaria, and about using a number of other BASF’s preparations to protect potato plants.
